On this, the first Sunday of the month, as we celebrate communion, it is good that we reflect on our Savior Jesus Christ, who sacrificed Himself for our salvation. Jesus took our sins upon Himself that we might have a way to be redeemed to God the Father. Even now, Jesus is in heaven, and intercedes on our behalf before God the Father.
